Senior Leadership Team
Dave Carter
Chief Executive Officer
It is a privilege to serve the children, staff, and school communities of °ÄÃÅÁùºÏ²Ê×ÊÁÏÂÛ̳ as CEO. I get to work with the most committed, capable, and kind colleagues anyone could wish for and, since the formation of the Trust in 2017, it has been a joy to witness the ever-closer collaboration and shared ministry of schools within the °ÄÃÅÁùºÏ²Ê×ÊÁÏÂÛ̳ family.
Prior to taking on the role of CEO, I was Headteacher of St Philip Howard Catholic School in Barnham – an Ofsted Outstanding secondary school in Barnham. I have enjoyed working as a National Leader of Education, Executive Head in both Primary and Secondary settings and leading a vibrant Teaching School Alliance. Before teaching, I trained and worked for four years as a Chartered Accountant. Whilst not the vocation for me, it has certainly come in handy over the course of my teaching career.
Debbie Wiggill
Chief Finance Officer
I was born and grew up in South Africa, but for over 20 years now, I have made the UK my home. Throughout my career, I have been in challenging roles within both the commercial and Not for Profit Sector, which has helped me to gain a thorough understanding of different aspects of business, including Finance, Business partnering, Procurement, Governance, Property and Legal.
For the past 8 years I have worked for national charity with over 50 sites across the UK, who support people with acquired brain injury. My experience working with multiple sites as well and onboarding new services into our Trust, has given me an invaluable insight into how important it is to work collaboratively. I believe that customer service for both internal and external stakeholders is key and by bringing my skills and experience into the Trust, I believe I can help to grow a collaborative working environment and move the strategy forward by providing an excellent customer service to the current and future schools in the BOSCO family.
Gemma Irvine
Director of Primary Education & Designated Safeguarding Lead
I am privileged to work as Director of Primary for the °ÄÃÅÁùºÏ²Ê×ÊÁÏÂÛ̳ Trust as well as fulfilling my role as Headteacher at one of our Trust schools, St Mary’s. I joined St Mary’s in 2017 just after it joined the Trust. We are very proud to say we were the first primary school in the Trust. Through collaborative working with like minded people the school has grown and developed on its journey.
I work closely with the Directors of English and Maths and the Primary Heads across the Trust to support the strategic development and improvement of the teaching and learning of all pupils. I love data and use it ensure no child in the primary schools gets left behind in their progress and attainment. I believe I was called to work for °ÄÃÅÁùºÏ²Ê×ÊÁÏÂÛ̳ as I am passionate about enabling children, particularly those who may be disadvantaged or have additional needs to reach their full potential and believe in themselves and their abilities.
Rob Carter
Director of Secondary Education
I have been Headteacher at St Paul’s Catholic College since 2009. During this time we have lived out a deep-rooted commitment to being outreaching in our work with other schools, teacher training and universities both nationally and internationally. This has led the school to being consistently in the top 10% in exams at GCSE and A level.
I have been an Executive Headteacher and National Leader of Education with a focus on school improvement work in primary and secondary schools. We believe we need to ‘inspire a living faith with hope and love’ and this is lived out in the work in the °ÄÃÅÁùºÏ²Ê×ÊÁÏÂÛ̳ family of schools. Our faith challenges us to ‘never accept second best’ for any of the young people we are blessed to serve. By being deeply committed to learning, individually and collectively, we always strive to improve what we do each day.
Theresa McNamara
Director of Mission
As Director of Mission, my aim is to support and encourage everyone within the °ÄÃÅÁùºÏ²Ê×ÊÁÏÂÛ̳ Trust to work together in sharing the Gospel with all young people in our schools. It is my wholehearted belief that by sharing the ethos of our Patron St John °ÄÃÅÁùºÏ²Ê×ÊÁÏÂÛ̳ across the Trust, we will see our students realising the extent of their God given potential, putting their faith into action, and working together to build a better world.
Since 2012 I have had the immense honour of living out my vocation within school chaplaincy, both working as a chaplain myself, and by leading teams of chaplains within schools. I am deeply committed to Jesus in all areas of my life; not just in my work but in my family life, my parish ministry, and other voluntary roles in the charity sector. My prayer for the future is that, as the °ÄÃÅÁùºÏ²Ê×ÊÁÏÂÛ̳ family continues to grow in size, we will simultaneously deepen in our faith.
